In support of this we are committed to remaining one of Lane County’s FREE museums, offering access to our exhibits, educational programs, artifacts and archives to anyone – free of charge.

Museum Hours & Holidays

The Springfield Museum is temporarily closed Sept. 1-30 to allow time for a management transition and will reopen Oct. 3.

The museum is open every Tuesday—Thursday from 11am to 4pm; Fridays from 11am to 6pm; and Saturdays from 10am to 4 pm.

The Springfield Museum is closed on Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Please check back for event-specific closures and changes to our usual hours of operation.

Getting Here

The Museum is located in downtown Springfield at 590 Main Street, which is on the corner of 6th and Main Street. Parking is located on both streets and there are off-street spaces available in a lot on the west side of the Museum, accessible from Main Street.
